Which brazilian team should i support

According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, Corinthians has 29 million supporters in Brazil, being one of the biggest Brazilian clubs in number of fans. Cruzeiro is another club coming from the state of Minas Gerais. Their first match took place in Not only the club with the most supporters in Brazil, but Flamengo also has the biggest fan base in the world — 33 million supporters, according to FIFA.

Based in Rio de Janeiro, they are also the richest football club in Brazil. Just like Botafogo, Flamengo initiated his history as a rowing club in Eventually, the official football team started playing in Fluminense is the oldest football club in Rio de Janeiro, founded in Their three colors, green, white, and dark red, are a big representation of the club. Fluminense and Flamengo are responsible for the biggest rivalry matches in Rio de Janeiro. Their matches are called Fla-Flu.

Who knows if ultimately that will be my club forever, but at least it will be a start. I could really use your help, I've been mulling over this decision for a while.

Its difficult though because many clubs in Brazil are so inconsistent. Any help is VERY appreciated. That does help actually, and now I'm leaning towards one team in particular. But I want to hear other arguments before I make a decision. Generally, the team picks you and not vice versa.

By that I mean, your heart, mind and soul are dragged into an eternal love for the team based on some unexplainable inner drive and love. A love so strong, you will not see or think straight when you are near your team. And you are near your team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, days a year. This everlasting love for your team stays with you until the day you die. And in most cases, as mine, your children and the children of your children stay with your team until the day they die. Having said that, the team in Brasil you will pick will actually pick you, and once you are hooked, there is no turning back.

The same as it happened for you at AC Milan. And as you may know the colors are deeply engraved and rooted in your heart and soul. Favorite player of all-time is Alex de Souza - Played for Flamengo but not a very good passage scoring only 3 goals in 12 games and subsequently had his contract terminated.

Ganso is a fan of Flamengo. Don't necessarily have to follow a big Paulista or Carioca team Don't want to follow a club that bounces up and down from Serie A and the Serie B — Flamengo has never been relegated. The Urubuzabas have more class than any of the other fan bases.

Have friends from Bahia Salvador currently — Bahianos are very similar to Cariocas. The majority of the fan base of Cariocas are Flamenguistas. Played in college with a former Cruzeiro youth product great guy - Most Cruzeiro fans as a second team support Flamengo. Tomorrow we play the first game of the Brasileirao against Avai who is currently a semi finalist and may very well likely reach the finals of Copa Do Brasil.

Imperador3 Member. Bakaman Member. I'm not sure how offensive you guys are anymore ever since Muricy has taken over. We are still quite offensive, it's just that we are missing a lot of opportunities. We could've have 3 more vs Once, 2 more vs Corinthians Muricy is doing an excellent job at Santos. He has made the defense go from poor to good, but I preferred the attacking football displayed when Dorival was the coach. Dorival got positive results for the most part as well.

With a host excellent players in recent years such as Ramires, Alex, Luisao, Maicon and, most famously, Ronaldo, Cruzeiro have had plenty of talent who have all excelled abroad with European clubs. Unfortunately for Cruzeiro though, they've never quite cobbled all these players together at the same time in order to build a team that could sustain a period of success.

Tottenham fans will be nodding as they recall the likes of Luka Modric, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick who have all passed through White Hart Lane without ever being part of a successful Spurs side. And they could still see history repeat itself with Gareth Bale attracting interest from Europe's top clubs. But never mind, Cruzeiro supporters will sympathise with their plight and both sets of fans can reminisce together about what could have been.
